UK born and now Cape Town based Sven Harding looks at the world in a different way with a unique approach that combines a European sensibility with a thorough understanding of local markets. He excels at telling stories, be it in the slow burning takes of his Cannes Lions 2015 award-winning “Saving Aslan” for P&G’s Fixodent for Saatchi & Saatchi Italy, his WaterAid campaign film that almost exclusively focused on a young girl’s feet or the low-level perpetual motion of the ‘Still Running’ study of a paraplegic Ironman competitor. He draws on his music video and art school background to give every story a fresh perspective.
He also has a peculiar talent for directing choreographed musical, vividly capturing kinetic movement for the small screen, as seen in his work for Golden Morn for Publicis West Africa; Lambrini for Publicis, UK and Always for Leo Burnett, Beirut.
His extensive body of work includes TVCs, documentaries, brand films and PSAs for clients like Red Bull, Nestle, Douwe Egberts, Diageo, American Express, P&G and Greenpeace. He has just completed a film for WorldView called ‘Place of Sweet Waters’ examining Cape Town’s vast, untapped underground water resource.
His Lancashire roots show through in his love for Burnley Football club and pair of dogs that resemble sheep!
